It is my pleasure to announce that I am endorsing Doug Welton in his run for Utah House District 65.

It is an honor for me to support Doug Welton for a second term as the Utah State Representative for District 65. I have known Doug for 30 plus years and have the utmost respect for him.

In the many years that I have known Doug, he has served in numerous capacities, and in every position, I have found him to be deliberate, thoughtful, and dedicated. He has strong conservative principles that guide his decisions but is always respectful of differing viewpoints. I am particularly grateful for his experiences in the classroom that have led him to practical, focused solutions in education, and I appreciate his support of mental health education in our school systems. I am happy to endorse Doug Welton for state representative.

I am pleased to announce that I am endorsing Doug Welton for House District 65. I have had the privilege of working and associating with Doug for nearly 40 years. During my time as city councilman with Elk Ridge, I have worked with Doug and inter-local issues and feel that he will do a phenomenal job in working with our state leaders to represent us as well as the rest of the state.

I am proud to endorse Doug Welton to run again as my state representative in the Utah House of Representatives. Doug and I have been friends for over twenty years and when he ran for Payson city council, I supported him because he was always open to my suggestions to better our city. Doug was ALWAYS ready to answer constituent concerns whether it was on the Payson Facebook page or if approached in town. When Doug decided to run for the Utah House of Representatives, I supported him again knowing that he was going to allow me to call him or grab a bite with him and discuss my concerns in state government. Doug is as transparent as they come. He is honest with you if he disagrees with your point of view but finds common ground with you when explaining his votes in the session.

I know Doug won't jump to conclusions, will thoroughly think through and study issues and is willing to listen to and look at all sides.

I am pleased to endorse Doug Welton for the Utah House of Representatives, representing district 65. I have known Representative Welton for many years and have worked with him on a number of issues. Representative Welton is a transparent leader who is always looking to do what is right for our communities. As an educator Representative Welton is well respected and a favorite among his students and colleagues. As a community member he has always lent a hand when needed. He listens to both sides of issues. As a law enforcement executive I understand the need to have solid leadership in key positions. Representative Welton has always been a fierce supporter of Public Safety.  I have no doubt that District 65 is well represented with Doug Welton and I fully support his efforts to make our community a better place.
